Shinda Foundation's main purpose is to support and empower African communities through education, technology, and learning resources so that they can become self-sufficient.
Shinda Foundation started with a desire to make a difference in the lives of young children and prepare them for opportunities to transform their lives and their communities through a proper education.
Currently, Shinda Foundation is supporting Shinda Basic School, a non-profit school with children ages 5 to 15 years old. Through volunteers and a team of dedicated personnel at Shinda Basic, the children of this community are getting an opportunity for a quality education and a hope for a better future.
Shinda Foundation is seeking volunteers in the United States, and other places around the world, as well as in Tanzania. As a volunteer you can help in fund-raising, hosting an event, and teaching at Shinda Basic School.
Shinda Foundation is seeking help in meeting the water challenges facing Shinda Basic School and the local community in the area. Lack of reliable clean drinking water is an ongoing crisis, students and parents have to walk on average a mile to find and fetch water often with containers on their heads.
